We open every app on the 7.6" inner screen and tell you how it really looks: whether it uses all the space, only part of it, or stays an iPhone-sized window with black borders.

Apps that make the unfolded screen shine

How to read the list
Three states, one question: does the app use the unfolded screen?
Look at the vertical column on the side. Updated apps move their own buttons there; the others leave it to the system, showing just the time and Wi-Fi.
Optimized
Fills the screen and uses the vertical bar for its own buttons. Also works well in Split View and on the cover screen.
Partial
Goes full screen, but the vertical bar stays empty: it only shows the time, Wi-Fi and the rotation button.
Not optimized
Stays in iPhone format with black borders. You can enlarge it, but the layout is still the phone one.
For games the rule is different, since they have no buttons to move into the bar: what matters is how they fill the unfolded screen. Optimized means no black bands, Poorly adapted means stretched or cropped, Not optimized means it stays in iPhone format.

Report an app
Missing an app? Report it or ask us to test it
If you have a Duo, tell us what you see: we check every report on our own Duo before publishing it. If you don't have one yet and are thinking of buying it, ask us to test the app you care about: we'll add it to the queue.
Open the app on the inner screen, with the Duo unfolded.
Check the vertical column on the side: does it hold the app's buttons, or just the time and Wi-Fi?
You can find the version in the App Store › tap the app › Version History.
